OUR MESSAGE
A Message from the CEO
Donors to our Foundation give because they want to know that their families, friends and neighbours will have the best possible care, when they need it.
Funding from the provincial government does not pay for equipment, furnishings or supplies. Diagnostic and treatment equipment can be very sophisticated and it’s important to have as much availability as possible locally.
Your donation means that the Foundation can work to help alleviate the impact that travelling for tests and treatment can have - it is stressful, exhausting and expensive.
Donate today, with confidence that your contribution is helping to make West Parry Sound a better place to live, work and volunteer.

A Message from the Board Chair
"Advanced healthcare minutes from your door." That’s the expectation of many Canadians, I believe, and we are fortunate that here in Parry Sound we have a hospital that provides care to anyone who needs it, whether Parry Sound is their home or their home-away-from-home.
Over the last 18 months, the Foundation has provided close to $3 million to the hospital for new and replacement equipment, renovations to 11 patient rooms through our ‘Adopt-A-Room' program, and a complete overhaul of the operating rooms. And there is still more to do. Did you know that the provincial government funding for hospitals does not cover equipment, renovations or refurbishments, or new building projects?
The West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation partners with donors of all shapes and sizes to fund essential diagnostic and treatment equipment, upgrades to patient spaces in the hospital and new technologies for all departments. I’m proud to say that every member of the Board is also a donor – as a group and individually, we are committed to making our hospital the best it can be.
Please consider including the WPSHC Foundation in your charitable giving; if you are a donor, please know that your donation is very much appreciated.
Thank you,
Daphne Loukidelis
